Greater Shady Grove Civic Alliance
Meeting: WEDNESDAY March 24,
2010 at 8:00pm
Mill Creek Towne Elementary School,
17700 Park Mill Drive, in the All Purpose Room
TOPIC -
DEVELOPMENT AROUND METRO
The topic for March meeting will be the development
of the area around Metro. There will be a Mandatory Referral
meeting at Park and Planning in a few weeks on the plans for Casey
7. Casey 7 is the vacant lot across from the Grove Shopping
Center on Crabbs Branch. The county is planning on moving
the Ride On Bus maintenance and bus depot facility, which is
currently next to the Metro, to Casey 7. We will have a
representative from the Alliance present testimony at the
Mandatory Referral meeting and would like to get input from the
community. We also will be starting the discussion on what the
community would like to see for the residential development which will
take place around Shady Grove Metro Station. The
developers, EYA, will be looking for community input at a future
meeting.
