TOPIC - ICC ISSUES
The topic for the October meeting will be issues concerning the ICC.  Odessa Phillips, community liaison for the ICC, for the State Highway Administration,  will be present to talk about the continuing plans for the ICC in the Derwood community and to answer any questions the community may have regarding the construction of the road.  Ms. Phillips will address the issues of the left turn lane onto I 370 from Shady Grove Road and will also talk about the plans for noise mitigation.

NOVEMBER MEETING
The November meeting will be held on November 18th.  Alliance meetings are usually held on the fourth Wednesday of the month with the exception of the November meeting, which is held on the third Wednesday because of the Thanksgiving holiday.
 
There will be no meeting in December.  The January meeting will be held on January 27th.      
 
The  Greater Shady Grove Civic Alliance was formed and continues to work to represent to our elected officials what is in the best interest of the Derwood community.  We encourage your active participation at our meetings so that we may accurately represent the views and concerns of the community.

MEMBERSHIP
Please send in your membership for the upcoming 2009 – 2010 year. We rely on membership fees to defray the cost of renting the school for our meetings. The Alliance exists to represent the interests of the community. Your membership and vote are important for us to accurately fulfill that role. Only paid members are allowed to vote in accordance with our bylaws. Please fill out the form below and bring it with you to the October meeting or mail it to the address below.
